PLANNING.

We are still in the period of the Lock Down and ban on movements due to COVID-19, however we found a way to execute the second quarter outreach as we did during the first quarter. We had to work with our volunteer representatives in the City of Enugu.

We also contacted the Physiotherapist who oversees the therapy of the baby girl with a Cerebral Palsy (Mary) we wanted to witness a therapy session and see what it looks like. He agreed to our request.

Our budget was prepared as usual and sent to the President of the foundation, which when it was approved funds were released and we proceeded with execution.

EXECUTION

The team arrived the orphanage by 11:00am on the Decided Date. They were received by the Matron of the foundation. They were informed that the restrictions due to the pandemic were still in force. However, we requested that we be allowed in to witness the Therapy Session and our request was approved, and we expected to observe all prescribed precautionary measures. The Doctor came in few minutes after our team arrived.

We were privileged to witness the therapy session with the doctor, who enlightened us on the progress so far. We were delighted with the improvements of the Child.

The Doctor also expressed his gratitude to The Fourthman Foundation for their commitment to the Child’s welfare. The other Children in the orphanage were doing just fine.

We also had a discussion with the Matron who was very Grateful to the foundation, four our consistency in reaching out to the Orphanage home. She pointed out that the support they received from people was negatively affected by the pandemic, but the foundation has remained consistent despite the situation.

We presented the gifts to her, took a few pictures, and left the premises by 1:30pm
