Fourthman Foundation Outreach Project – 4th Quarter 2019

BASIC INFORMATION

Name of Orphanage Home: Guardian Angel Motherless Babies Home.

Project Title:  Feast of the Guardian Angel, 4TH Quarter 2019, Outreach

Date of Outreach: December 13, 2019

Project Objective: To reach out to the less privileged children, show them love and care

PLANNING.

Our 3rd Quarter 2019 outreach planning began in the month of November. The team had an online meeting to plan the outreach and the Christmas party for this year and to come up with a budget which will be presented to the President of the Foundation for approval.

Just like last year, the orphanage home still insisted that they will be the ones to handle cooking for the kids, as they no longer allow organization bring in cooked food due to past negative experiences, hence we decided the orphanage will present the budget for refreshments which we will build into our budget.

EXECUTION

 It was a successful outing; things went as planned on the date decided. We arrived there quite early and spent some time with the children before the party proper started. As usual they were happy and we were excited, we engaged the kids in helping with setting the place up for the party, they were all enthusiastic about it.

We also noticed that there were new babies in the orphanage home, between 2-6 months old.

Of course, we also got feed backs about Mary’s response to the therapy, she is doing fine, we all hope that by the year 2020 she will be able to work by herself, it is our prayer.

We had the party, the kids danced, ate, played, and received various Christmas gifts, there was joy. We also noticed that most of the kids were scared when they saw our mascot and Santa Claus, well at least in the end they accepted the gifts from Santa.

As usual our visit was not without support materials for the home, like bags of rice, tubers of yam, bag of beans and Garri, baby milk, diapers etc. which we handed over to the matron of the orphanage home, they were received with joy and thanksgiving.

At the end we prayed for and with the kids and wished them merry Christmas, they had us promise we will keep coming and not forget them, we made that promise. It was quite an emotional time for us all.
