PLANNING.

The fourth quarter 2019 outreach planning commenced in February 2019. By this quarter the Foundation had completed her registration with the Cooperate Affairs Commission in Nigeria, CAC, which we began last year. We have also obtained our Tax Identification Number, and we are currently opening an official account with Guaranty Trust Bank.

During the last quarter in 2018, the foundation opted to take care of the hospital bill of the Assistant Team Leader, who was delivered of a baby boy, on November 23, 2018 and had some complication afterwards. We are grateful to God the mother and baby are currently doing fine.

At the Orphanage, we plan to renew our contract with the Physiotherapist who is administering therapy to Mary, the child with congenital cerebral palsy. We also decided that it will be needful to invite him to join us for an interview session during the First Quarter outreach in 2019.

A budget for the outreach was prepared and approved by the President of the Foundation and we began the process.

EXECUTION

We executed the outreach as planned on 4th April 2019. We arrived by 12 noon at the venue with our gift items, and we were received by the matron. We also had an interview session with her. She informed us that some of the kids who we had been reaching out to for about three years, had come of age, and they were released to their family members. (This gave us some concern as we could not help but wonder how the kids will fare outside the walls of the orphanage home, with these family members who are not necessarily their parents) we were also informed that the orphanage had received new babies.

As we were speaking with her, the physiotherapist came in. We conducted his interview session. He gave us the update on Mary’s therapy and the improvements thus far (details of the interview can be found on our you tube Channel Fourthman Foundation)

After the interviews we went in to see the kids and eventually presented the items we bought to the matron of the orphanage home.

RECOMMENDATIONS

  • Following the information we received that the kids are released back to their families after a while in the orphanage home, we have decided to carry an investigation to find out what becomes of the kids once they are released form the care of the orphanage home.

NEXT PROJECT

  • 2nd Quarter outreach 2019.
  • Continuation of Mary’s Therapy
  • Opening of a formal Nigerian Bank account for the foundation.
