ARTICLE 1- Everlasting Life & Timeless Existence

E – Everlasting Life (God’s kind of Life Received by Grace).

“For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have everlasting life. (John 3:16)

God is an eternal being who lives outside of time because he created time (Gen 1 v14). The God kind of life is a life that has no end and this is what He offers us in Jesus Christ _Everlasting life.

Isn’t this wonderful? This promise of eternal life removes the fear of death and gives us hope of a life with God where there’s no pain or sorrow.

I heard a loud shout from the throne, saying, “Look, God’s home is now among his people! He will live with them, and they will be his people. God himself will be with them.  He will wipe every tear from their eyes, and there will be no more death or sorrow or crying or pain. All these things are gone forever” Rev 21:3-4

  1. God had always Wanted Man to Live Like Him.

From the beginning, of time God’s plan for Man was to share His kind of life with Him. Even though Man missed this offer when Adam rejected God’s eternal life and embraced sin. Once again God is offering man the opportunity to have eternal life by believing in Jesus Christ, the one He sent to reconcile the world to Himself.

“And all of this is a gift from God, who brought us back to himself through Christ. And God has given us this task of reconciling people to him.  For God was in Christ, reconciling the world to himself, no longer counting people’s sins against them. And he gave us this wonderful message of reconciliation”2COR 5:9

  1. God’s Offer of Life to Man

And this is what God has testified: He has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son” 1 john 15:11

God is offering us eternal life in Jesus Christ who he sent to save the world from sin and death. If you believe in JESUS_ that he died for your sins was crucified, died, and was buried rose again on the third day then you shall be saved from your sins and from eternal damnation- this is the GOOD NEWS!

I passed on to you what was most important and what had also been passed on to me. Christ died for our sins, just as the Scriptures said. He was buried, and he was raised from the dead on the third day, just as the Scriptures said” 1Cor 15: 3-4

  1. The Rejection of Life (Man’s fall)

“He who believes in Him is not condemned, but he who does not believe is condemned already because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. And this is the condemnation, that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light because their deeds were evil.

We must embrace God’s offer of life as the consequence of rejecting life is eternal death. An existence outside of God where there is pain and destruction. The story of Noah is an example for us. In the book of Genesis chapters 6 and 7, Noah was a preacher of righteousness who warned the people in his generation to turn their hearts back to God but they rejected God. When the flood which destroyed the earth came everyone perished but for Noah and his family who had obeyed God. Today God is calling us and just like the ark, everyone who receives Christ will be saved from eternal damnation (Heb 11:7).

  1. God’s Redemption plan.

“In him, we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace that he lavished on us with all wisdom and understanding.” (Eph 1:7-8)

The infinite, eternal God of the universe became a man of flesh and blood, Jesus Christ. Jesus lived a human life limited by time and space and experienced all kinds of human suffering. The price He paid for our sins was His blood which was shed not only to redeem us and cleanse us from our sins but also to bring us near to God. Christ’s death accomplished redemption, but His redeeming death isn’t the end of the story. Jesus Christ rose from the dead and defeated death itself!. He redeemed us through His death, but He can impart life to us because He was resurrected.

T-Timeless Existence (Immortality)

He alone can never die, and he lives in light so brilliant that no human can approach him. No human eye has ever seen him, nor ever will. All honor and power to him forever! Amen. 1Tim 6:16

In God alone is immortality Men cannot have immortality unless God gives it to Man through His Holy Spirit. Romans 8:11 says ‘But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you. The spirit of God dwells in us when we believe the gospel and accept Jesus as our savior.

God Himself said through the prophet Joel, ‘In those days I will pour out my Spirit even on servants—men and women alike” Joel 2:29. The Holy Spirit is our guarantee that even though we shed these mortal bodies of ours we will yet live with God in eternity. Hallelujah!

  • Receiving the life of God (Prayer for salvation)

If you would like to accept Jesus Christ as your savior and receive the free gift of eternal life, please say this prayer;

Lord Jesus, I believe you died for my sins and rose from the dead. I accept you as my Lord and savior. Thank you for giving me your Holy Spirit as promised.

Praise God you’re born again!

The bible says in Rom 10:9-10 “If you openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.  For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by openly declaring your faith that you are saved”.

Hallelujah!
